Obesity

Times have changed as the world has evolved into a more sedentary lifestyle. Many more people are becoming obese as less and less people are inspired to take care of their bodies. The amount of people who are obese has tripled since the 1970’s. A staggering 650 million people are obese, while 1.9 billion adults are overweight worldwide. Obesity severely impacts everyday lifestyle limiting what normal people are able to do. Obesity contributes to many other comorbidities and dramatically increases your risk for other health problems. Many more younger people are developing cancer. Cancer is no longer the disease of the elderly. Many environmental factors contribute to cancer as well as hereditary factors. Some people will be more prone to developing cancer, while some people do not do anything to help prevent it. The best way to prevent cancer would be to avoid substances such as smoking, and alcohol as well as highly processed foods with lots of sugar. Cancer cells thrive off of sugar. Switching to a healthier lifestyle will help you to prevent cancer. 

Substance Abuse

As mental health declines, substance abuse rises. Substance abuse is an issue facing many adults today. Look out for your friends and family who are struggling financially, or mentally. Those are two of the main contributing factors to substance abuse. While some people are more prone to addiction, substance abuse can be prevented if you are taking care of yourself and keeping yourself busy. 

Infertility
