Things to Avoid

Avoid taking aspirin, NSAIDs (such as Advil or Aleve), Ginkgo Biloba, fish oil supplements, or Vit E in the week leading up to your Botox treatment. These oral supplements and drugs include compounds that might cause bruising and bleeding. Tylenol is a fantastic pain reliever if you need it in the week leading up to your treatment.

Multivitamin supplements, green tea, ginger, red wine, and cinnamon all of which contain antioxidants, should be avoided. Antioxidants can prevent clotting by altering the integrity of your blood vessels, despite being incredibly beneficial for your diet.

Boost your intake of other nutrients.

Vitamin K is found in leafy greens like Swiss chard, kale, and broccoli, and it helps thicken your blood and minimizes the risk of bruising and swelling. They also include a variety of beneficial vitamins and minerals to help you look and feel better.

You can also take Arnica tablets to help with the pain, bruising, and swelling caused by the injections. Arnica is a herbal supplement that may be found at most health food stores.

Here is what to expect.

Because Botox injections require the use of a needle, you will feel a pinch throughout the procedure. The majority of patients find the therapies bearable. In fact, the therapy is done in such a short time that you will scarcely experience any discomfort. If you’re worried about pain, ask us about using a topical numbing lotion prior to treatment when you make your appointment.

Multiple injections of Botox into the target facial muscles are used in Botox treatments. Up to three injections will be given around each eye, five injections will be given into the muscles between your brows and forehead, and five injections will be given for horizontal forehead lines.

Preparing the skin

If you plan on wearing makeup, the regions that will be injected should be washed briefly and then wiped off with alcohol. This step may be avoided by arriving at your appointment bare-faced. After the treatment, you can immediately reapply makeup.

Your first time is unlikely to be your last

This anti-aging marvel works wonders on wrinkles, but only for a short time. While the results stay longer than the average anti-aging product, repeat visits are required. For each person, the long-term implications of this strategy are different. The outcome is determined by a variety of factors, including your age, the location of therapy, and the state of your skin.

Plan to return in three to four months for another round of injections after discussing the desired goal. Once we know you’re pleased with the outcomes, we’ll talk about an official timeframe for your initial appointment. It’s recommended to stick to a regular injection schedule for the best results.

If you like the effects of this routine, you won’t want to wait until they’ve all but vanished before scheduling another session.

Following your appointment

Because Botox treatments don’t involve any downtime, you don’t need to make any arrangements for after your session. Many people have Botox treatments during their lunch break and then return to their regular routine.

Botox Results

The effects of your Botox injections aren’t visible for one to three days after you’ve had them. After roughly seven days, you’ll get the final findings. Return for touch-ups if you want even more wrinkle reduction. The effects usually last three to four months, so make sure to schedule treatments on a frequent basis to keep your young appearance.
