Learn To Say No
It can be hard to say no. You always want to make people happy, and saying yes when you’re asked to do something is a good way to do that. Plus, when you are able to say no, you’ll stop any awkward situations – you won’t have to explain yourself or give an excuse as to why you can’t do something. The problem is that when you always say yes, you might be making someone else’s life easier, but you’re potentially making yours harder.
If you can learn to say no more often – when you need to – then your life will become less stressful. Of course you should help people when you can, but if you are busy, if the task is not something you want to do, or if you just need a break, then you must say no. You’ll be less stressed, and people will understand that when they ask you for something, you’ll always be honest about whether or not you can do it.

Make Sure You Get Me Time
It’s crucial that you get some time to yourself every day. This could be a few hours or a few minutes, but whatever time you have, you need to take it and enjoy it. You can do anything with your ‘me time’ as long as you’re not working or feeling stressed about something.

When you want a good work-life balance, you need to create good boundaries. This is much easier if you work outside of the home since when you leave, that is a natural boundary. Work takes place in one location, and homelife takes place in another.
When you work at home, it’s much more difficult to create these boundaries; it’s tempting to work for longer hours and to go back to your work when you have a moment (perhaps instead of taking some me time to yourself). Ideally, you should have a room that is used solely for work; once you shut the door at the end of the day, it will be easier to stay away from work.
